The Alexander Technique is a subtle yet transformative practice — one that re-educates the brain and nervous system to move with greater ease, less tension, and less pain. Where yoga builds strength and flexibility, the Alexander Technique refines how you inhabit your body between the poses, in everyday life, and in everything in between.

In this hands-on introductory workshop, Kim will guide you through the gentle principles behind this powerful method. You'll discover how small shifts in awareness and thinking can release long-held habitual tension, calm the nervous system, and bring a new quality of ease to everything — how you sit, stand, bend, breathe, and move through your day.

Whether you're working with discomfort, looking to deepen your practice, or simply curious about moving with more freedom, this workshop offers practical tools you can take straight from the mat into your life.

Less effort. More presence. A body that finally feels like home.

About Kim Bergin

Kim is a certified Alexander Technique teacher with a deeply personal connection to this work. A bad fall from a horse in her late teens led to years of chronic pain that eventually left her unable to get out of bed — until the Alexander Technique changed everything. Not just how she moved, but how she understood her body entirely.

That experience is at the heart of how she teaches. Kim has a gift for helping people spot the habitual tension patterns they didn't even know they were carrying — exactly the kind of deeply held holding that yoga can sometimes work around rather than through.
