Understanding Your ADHD Brain: A Workshop for Women

Taught by Dr Naomi Middleton
September 26, 2026 2:00 pm · 2 hours Upstairs Studio

Understanding Your ADHD Brain: A Workshop for Women

Whether you've had an ADHD diagnosis for years, received it later in life, or are wondering if it might explain some of what you've been experiencing — this workshop is a space to explore, learn, and connect.

In this workshop we will explore: what ADHD actually is, how it shows up differently in women, and why so many of us are diagnosed later in life — often only once perimenopause arrives and hormonal shifts make long-standing coping strategies stop working. We'll also look at neurodivergence more broadly, and how ADHD frequently overlaps with autism, anxiety, and other conditions, so you can start to see your own experience with more clarity.

We will look deeper at two areas many women with ADHD struggle with:

  • Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) — what it is, why it hits so hard, and practical ways to work with it rather than be ruled by it.
  • Rest and the ADHD brain — why conventional ideas of "rest" often don't work, barriers to rest and what is genuinely restorative, what ADHD-friendly rest can look like.

This workshop provides an opportunity to build understanding and self-compassion, and to be in a room with others who just get it — no explaining required.

Whether you're diagnosed, self-identifying, or just curious, you're welcome here.
